John Newman, Dip CH.P, MNCH (Lic.)

John Newman has a diploma in Clinical Hypnosis attained with Mind Train and specialist qualifications in Smoking Cessation Hypnotherapy. He has continued further professional studies with the National Council of Hypnotherapy, the Essex Institute of Clinical Hypnosis and the NLP Academy. He has also undergone training in counselling for bereavement and life adjustment with the Terrence Higgins Trust.

Between 2000-2004, John practiced at two South London doctor surgeries, the Morden Hall Medical Centre and the Earlsfield Practice. In 2004, he set up Fresh Start Hypnotherapy in Morden, giving clients the opportunity to book sessions at more appropriate times. He also visits clients who are restricted to their homes and conducts group therapy for businesses.

John entered the field of hypnotherapy through his previous interests in dream analysis and body language. He has used hypnotherapy on a personal level to adjust his awareness and attitudes to minimise his own epileptic symptoms.
